About us

YESS – Educates. Supports. Provides capital.

The Hungarian Young Enterprise Support Society (YESS) was established in 2009 by lecturers at the Small Business Development Centre of Corvinus University of Budapest. YESS's primary goal is to encourage and support startup activity among young people, spread and raise entrepreneurial culture, and educate young entrepreneurs.

Our association has an extensive network of experts, professional writers, and instructors in finance, budgeting, business planning, management, marketing, market entry, competency assessment& development, and mentoring.

In addition to providing professional guidance, mentoring, training, and support to young people who want to become entrepreneurs, YESS's activities have given us greater impetus to create an interdisciplinary organisation based on the collaboration of multiple disciplines, which helps entrepreneurial ideas to be successfully implemented and brought to market.

To this end, every year we provide more and more opportunities for students studying economics, engineering, and social sciences through the following activities: Student startup competitions, Spin-off Club events, company and factory visits, conferences, and research projects. YESS not only offers programs, but also creates inspiring spaces and professional & entrepreneurial relationships within the framework of 10-12 projects per year, which we can implement with the financial and professional support of our partners, sponsors and from tenders.

During our more than fifteen years of operation, we have helped establish, mentored, and supported approximately 150 early-stage businesses.. We regularly bring together the best-prepared and most promising young people and entrepreneurial teams with investors, entrepreneurs, and organisations that can fund them.

Through its professional projects, YESS helps young people to draw up business plans based on adequate knowledge, to start (or continue) a business in a well-prepared manner, to enter foreign markets, to learn from the experiences and methods of successful entrepreneurs, and to build the right connections to move forward. As a result, over the years we have entered into cooperation agreements with universities, foundations, other associations, events, and financial institutions.

Based on its activities to date, the association is a public benefit organisation with no staff; the voluntary work of its members provides the capacity and performance of the association. YESS currently has 20 members, but university lecturers and student activists also participate in implementing and working on our individual projects. In addition, we draw on the help of the necessary experts and organisations for our projects based on our extensive professional network.
